Our customer Alistair Kingan features in the latest edition of Pro Operator magazine. A spraying contractor in Dumfries & Galloway, he talks about his SKAi 15m spot spraying system – our technology for detecting and targeting individual weeds. Using the grassland model where docks and thistles are both targeted and treated, Alistair finds the effects impressive. While the crop effects are significant (maximising yield and protecting clover), Alistair knows the chemical savings are also a benefit. One example he illustrated was using only 15 litres of product for 70ha, compared to 130 litres for a blanket spray.
With his first season of spot spraying behind him, Alistair is looking forward to a successful season ahead.
At the moment, the SKAi spot spraying system is available as an integrated solution on a SoilEssentials 12m, 15m or 24m mounted sprayer, or retrofit to a range of other branded sprayers.
