It was great to see such a strong turnout at last week’s annual conference hosted by Farm Advisory Service Scotland in Inverness.
Our MD Jim Wilson as one of the guest speakers, delivered an insightful session on the increasingly important role of Variable Rate Nitrogen application in modern crop management. Jim highlighted how precision-led approaches are helping growers improve nitrogen use efficiency, drive performance, and reduce environmental impact. Designed to integrate seamlessly with existing spreaders and sprayers, variable rate nitrogen is a practical way to cut waste, and make every kilo of fertiliser work harder.
He also introduced attendees to our SKAi spot spraying technology, showcasing how targeted application can significantly reduce input costs while maintaining effective weed control. Developed by SoilEssentials, designed to help farmers spray less while controlling weeds. Instead of blanket spraying a whole field, SKAi uses cameras mounted on the sprayer to look at the crop in real time and only target and treat the individual plant.
